hello (:
this is eexin blogging ! :D
let me tell you about my work today (:
well, i dragged myself to work today .
i totally didnt want to go.
no friends at all to laugh with while working ):
but then, i encouraged myself t go .
cause this world is just so money-based,
we cannot do anything without money .
D:
okay .
so , i was doing this server job .
as a server, i'll have to clear tables, and serve food, and tie up trashbags and stuff .
so around 2 or 3 plus, while i was clearing tables, i saw this elderly man selling tissue paper packets .
i have often seen old folks selling tissue paper packs at KFC in tiong .
then the floor people won't do anything, cause they take pity on them , having to do this for a living.
yeahhh .
anw, back to the story .
so, this old folk came in, selling 3 packs for 1 dollar (market rate) .
then alot of customers refused .
cause can get serviettes from counter if they need what .
so yeah.
then this old man walked to the table i was clearing, and seeing the almost-empty medium-sized fries packet with some fries inside, he took one and gobbled it up .
ohmygosh, and it really tugged at my heartstrings.
i wonder how many people are like that in Singapore, and i wonder how the government could help them .
i really wish there'll be a charity set up to help old folks like these, and i'll sign up to be a volunteer straightaway(maybe there is)
ohmygosh, i cant stop obsessing over it .
i really want to do flag day to raise funds to help these people now, those old folks who are jobless and needs to support themselves, their medical bills, necessities, housing loans and stuff ):
then, the manager came up to me and asked me to give flyers at the mrt there .
so yeah .
i naturally love giving flyers, cause people always take, like free promo like that.
but ; this time, i stood at the mrt entrance for like : 5 mins and no one, not a single person took from me.
and the people who comes out from the MRT usually comes in one big bunch. i was like repeating ' hi , thankyou, hi, thankyou' non-stop . disappointed you know, ):
extremely discouraged, but i told myself to think positive and continue persevering.
true enough, many people took from me the flyers after that :D
lesson learnt : always think positive (:
