this is lydia again!! im here to blog about my cip today. as usual, got forced into this. might as well make a good job of it!! well, my cip was giving out brochures about recycling, about collecting the citizens' newspapers. went to delta avenue, hahas. it was quite fun, but tiring too. i learnt a really important value ; perseverance. well, together with my group, i had to knock on doors, and wait for citizens to open the door, then explain to the citizens. i tried many times, and only a few citizens opened the door. i was getting kind of discouraged, and i so wanted to just put the brochure through their door and walk off without explaining . i learnt many lessons today, for example, confidence in talking to strangers. after awhile, i overcame my shyness and started talking to the citizens. it was a really fun and enriching experience. left cip around 12PM and went back to school and went woodlands from there to awards ceremony. outram secondary got silver!!! very happy!!! and the brigade head commissioner of primary schools got an award, for contributing 40 years in GB!! can you believe it ?? it takes so much dedication and perseverance. i think i should really learn from her and dedicate myself to gb and not skip meetings, hahas.
